This workflow prevents two common sourcing problems in specialty metals. The first is selecting a grade that is technically promising but unavailable in the form, tolerance or certification level required by the part. The second is buying a nominally correct grade without enough context for heat treatment, surface condition or lot documentation. Sandvik treats those details as part of service, not as afterthoughts. For aerospace brackets, medical instruments, high-temperature furnace hardware, cutting edges or precision industrial tooling, the service goal is to make the material decision auditable. The buyer should be able to explain why the grade was selected, what evidence supports it and which variables must remain controlled as the part moves from sample to recurring production.
